Product Dosage & Warnings.

Quick-reference dosing for every Kenko medication and additive. Read the safety notes first, measure carefully, and always treat responsibly — your koi and your bio filter depend on it.

  • For ornamental koi use only — do not ingest.
  • Wear proper PPE (gloves & eye protection) when handling.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • If ingested or in an emergency, call emergency services immediately.

01 Anti-Parasite Medications
Prazi Guard100% Praziquantel
1 g per 100 gallons
  • Targets worms & flukes.
  • Mix with ethanol into a thin paste, then pour into waterfall, filter basin, or pond.

Fen Shield100% Fenbendazole
1 g per 100 gallons
  • Targets worms & flukes.
  • Dilute with ethanol for even distribution, then add to waterfall, filter basin, or pond.

Defense F100% Flubendazole
1.25 g per 100 gallons
  • Targets flukes — 7-day treatment, run through the whole system.
  • Mix with ethanol into a thin paste. No water changes needed for the full 7 days.

Koi CurePotassium Permanganate
1 g per 100 gallons
  • Strong oxidizer for parasites. Mix in a separate bucket and pour in away from your koi.
  • Stays pink ~8 hrs while active. Advanced users: neutralize remaining product with hydrogen peroxide after.

Clear T37% Formaldehyde
1 oz (30 ml) per 300 gallons
  • For flea-type parasites — Costia, Oodinium, Chilodonella, Trichodina.
  • Every other day × 3 treatments, with a 25% water change between each. Do not over-treat.
  • Do not use below 55°F. See SDS before use.

5 ml (1 tsp) per 5 gallons
  • Sedates koi for safe, easy handling. Provide good aeration.
  • Stay with the fish the entire time — return to pond water immediately if breathing is affected.

  • Restores essential minerals depleted by filtration.
  • Binds medications and waste for clearer, more balanced water.
Koi Kare+Beneficial Bacteria
10 g per 250 gal · 40 g per 1,000 gal
  • Breaks down fish waste and debris in hard-to-flush areas your mechanical filter misses.
KoibioticsProbiotic Plus
1 tablet per 250 gallons · weekly
  • Enhances koi gut flora while reducing waste particles in the water column.
